Summer, Sun, the Beach, and.....Cellulite?

When the time comes when you will put on your swim suit, and start enjoying the summer, don't let cellulite stop you. Instead let’s see some ways that will help us minimize it.
A short explanation of cellulite
First let me just say that unfortunately cellulite runs in the family, in other words it’s genetic. That is, if your mom has cellulite, there is a very good probability that you also have it. The bumpy skin is caused when fat presses up against the vertical connective tissue that surrounds fat cells in our thighs. This creates a bulging of the cells. In more severe cases we have the “orange peel” effect.
So much for what cellulite is. Now let’s see some ways and products that will help us minimize it.
Drink Plenty of Water
Water is our biggest ally in fighting cellulite. Try and drink about 8 glasses every day, which will help to remove toxins, and increase blood circulation. In addition, by increasing our water intake, our body begins to shed excess fat including fat that is stored as cellulite. Finally, water helps to strengthen collagen in the skin.
Eat Healthy
Our dietary habits also play a very important role in managing cellulite. Try to include in your diet plenty of fiber and whole grain foods (such as bran and oat cereals), and of course fruits and vegetables in general. These type of foods help greatly in removing wastes and toxins, so the do not accumulate in our body.
Exercise Regularly
This should be pretty straight forward. Cellulite is fat, therefore excess weight can contribute to it. Any physical exercise will do. Try walking, jogging, swimming, etc., 3-4 times a week.
Massage Your Cellulite
There are several types of hand held massagers that you can use to help eliminate cellulite. The best time to use it is when you are in the shower. One such device is the Deep Tissue Cellulite massager. This is a simple, yet very effective device that offers deep anti-cellulite massage. It features 7 ABS plastic free-rolling balls which roll on the skin offering deep tissue massage. As such it helps to stimulate micro-circulation and oxygenation to the inactive cells. Faster and better results are achieved when used in combination with the appropriate body creams or anti-cellulite gels. Make it a habit to use it in the shower .
